Children Are the Future, Not a Burden: Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said children should be viewed as an asset for the future rather than a financial burden on families. Addressing the PTM programme at Rampachodavaram, he said the government is extending Thalliki Vandanam assistance to eligible children irrespective of the number of children in a family. According to the Chief Minister, ₹10,120 crore has been credited for 67 lakh children, including ₹664 crore benefiting five lakh children in tribal areas.

Chandrababu said his government is working to reduce economic inequalities by balancing welfare with development. Highlighting the importance of teachers in shaping students’ futures, he said initiatives such as No Bag Day on Saturdays, nutritious meals and the upcoming Sanjeevani Project from August are aimed at improving children's well-being and learning experience. Education Minister Nara Lokesh, students, parents and others participated in the programme.
