Another Chance for AP Students to Update Aadhaar

The Andhra Pradesh government has provided students with another opportunity to update their Aadhaar details. A free Aadhaar update drive will be conducted from Monday until October 20 through village and ward secretariats. Special camps will also be organised at schools and Anganwadi centres with large student populations. Officials said the drive was being held because many students in the state had not yet completed the required updates.

As per UIDAI guidelines, children aged 5–7 and students aged 15–17 must update their biometric details, including fingerprints and iris scans. Schools have already received lists of students whose Aadhaar details need updating, and officials are identifying others village-wise. The camps will also provide free corrections to Aadhaar details and new Aadhaar enrolment. Officials have advised parents to bring the required documents, such as birth certificates, parents’ Aadhaar cards, Class 10 marksheets or address proof, depending on the service required.
