A fresh legal controversy has emerged amid the ongoing debate surrounding NEET examinations and India's coaching ecosystem. Reports suggest that journalist Anjana Om Kashyap and TV Today Network have filed a defamation suit worth ₹2 crore against educator and YouTuber Khan Sir in the Delhi High Court. The case is reportedly linked to remarks allegedly made by Khan Sir during discussions related to the NEET controversy and the role of so-called "star teachers" in the education sector.
According to reports, the petition seeks the removal of content considered defamatory from social media platforms and demands compensation of ₹2 crore. The matter is expected to be heard by the Delhi High Court. The legal dispute has added a new dimension to the wider discussion surrounding NEET, coaching institutes, online education platforms, and the influence of educators on public discourse. All parties are expected to present their arguments before the court as the case proceeds.
