Amit Shah Skips Event Due to Health Issues

Union Home Minister Amit Shah could not attend a scheduled event in Hubballi, Karnataka, on Saturday after developing health issues. He was scheduled to inaugurate the new academic building of KLE Jagadguru Gangadhar Mahaswamigalu Moorusavirmath Medical College and the 1,200-bed KLE Hospital and Medical Research Centre, built as part of an estimated ₹700-crore project. Shah had arrived in Hubballi on Friday night but remained at his hotel on doctors’ advice.

In Shah’s absence, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Karnataka Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, among others, inaugurated the facilities. KLE Society chairman and former Rajya Sabha MP Prabhakar Kore informed the gathering that Shah could not attend the historic event due to health reasons. Further official details about his health condition have not been disclosed.
