Swedish luxury carmaker Volvo Cars has announced a price increase for its vehicles in India. The company stated that the hike will vary depending on the model, with prices set to rise by up to ₹1 lakh. The revised prices will come into effect from May 1.
The automaker attributed the decision to rising input costs caused by global economic uncertainties, supply chain disruptions, and the depreciation of the Indian rupee. Volvo emphasized that these factors have significantly increased production and operational expenses, necessitating the price revision.
