Online Food Delivery Charges Increase

Zomato, the popular food delivery platform, has increased its platform fee from Rs 12.50 to Rs 14.90 per order. This marks a rise of Rs 2.40, or approximately 19.2% per order. The increase is aimed at supporting operational costs and improving the delivery experience for both customers and restaurant partners.

The new fee structure applies across all cities where Zomato operates, impacting customers, restaurants, and delivery executives. While some users expressed concerns about the higher charges, Zomato emphasized that this adjustment is necessary to maintain service quality and continue investing in faster, more reliable deliveries.
