

Production has commenced at the new manufacturing plant set up by Exicom Tele-Systems in Hyderabad for the production of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment. Established with an investment of ₹216 crore across 18.4 acres, the facility will manufacture EV charging equipment. The plant will produce power electronics products such as DC fast chargers, AC chargers, rectifiers, controllers and lithium-ion battery modules, according to the company.
This is the second manufacturing facility of Exicom Tele-Systems in India. The company already operates a production unit in Gurugram. Products manufactured at the Hyderabad facility will be exported not only within India but also to countries including the United States, regions in Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Currently, around 450 employees are working at the Hyderabad plant, the company said. Through this new unit, the company aims to further expand its manufacturing capacity in the electric vehicle sector.
