Infosys has shared positive news for its employees and job seekers. CEO Salil Parekh announced that the company will not carry out layoffs. Instead, it will focus on new hiring and improving employee skills in the coming days.
He also clarified that artificial intelligence will not lead to job losses in the company. Rather, employees will be trained in AI-related skills to help them grow and make the company stronger and more competitive.
Infosys is planning to hire at least 20,000 freshers in the financial year 2026–27. At a time when many big tech companies are cutting costs and restructuring due to heavy investments in AI infrastructure, Infosys’ decision has brought hope and confidence to many.
