Virat Kohli has made strong remarks regarding his future with Team India and his commitment to the game. The star batter, who has already retired from T20Is and Tests, said he is always ready to contribute to the team in ODIs if the management believes he can add value. However, Kohli made it clear that he does not want to be in a position where he has to repeatedly prove his dedication and commitment.
Kohli stated that he maintains high fitness standards throughout the year and remains prepared for every series without requiring special preparation time. Speaking about India’s successful Test era under his captaincy, he described it as a golden period for Indian cricket, highlighting the team’s unity, strong bench strength, and memorable overseas victories. Kohli also said that playing in the 2027 ODI World Cup would not be a decision he could take alone.
