Team India Coaching Staff Set for Changes

Major changes are expected in the Indian men's cricket team's coaching staff, with the BCCI deciding not to extend the contracts of assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate and fielding coach T. Dilip. As the board begins the search for a new fielding coach, former domestic cricketer Subhadeep Ghosh has emerged as one of the leading contenders. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that two or three candidates are under consideration, with Ghosh's name featuring prominently.

Born in Digboi, Assam, in 1968, Subhadeep Ghosh represented Assam and Railways in domestic cricket before moving into coaching. Over the past several years, he has worked with the National Cricket Academy (NCA), the Indian women's team, India A, and the Under-19 squad. He also served in coaching roles with Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in the IPL. With extensive experience across domestic, national, and franchise cricket, Ghosh is considered the frontrunner to replace T. Dilip. The BCCI is expected to announce the new fielding coach before India's tour of Sri Lanka.
