India’s Junior Hockey Team Secures a Convincing Victory Over Pakistan

India’s women’s junior hockey team produced a stunning performance in the Junior Asia Cup, thrashing Pakistan 19-0 in the quarterfinal to book a place in the semifinals. India dominated the game from the opening whistle, while Pakistan struggled to make an impact. The Indian team scored five goals in the opening quarter and maintained complete control throughout the match. India earned 18 penalty corners and was also awarded a penalty stroke during the game.

Pooja Sahu opened India’s account in the seventh minute, after which the goals kept flowing. India scored five goals each in the first two quarters, added three in the third and finished with six goals in the final quarter. Pooja Malik was the star of the show with three goals, while Roshini, Sanika, Madhu and Supriya scored twice each. Tanushree, Sukhveer, Geeta, Toppo Tanuja, Purnima, Krishna Sharma and Binima Dhan scored one goal apiece. India will face the winner of the Korea-Malaysia quarterfinal in the semifinals.
