The Indian women’s hockey team ended the league stage of the Women’s Nations Cup unbeaten, securing a hat-trick of wins. In their final Group ‘A’ match held on Thursday, India defeated Uruguay by 3–2 goals under the leadership of Salima Tete.
Deepika starred for India by scoring two goals in the 24th and 56th minutes, while Deepika Soreng added another goal in the 43rd minute. With this win, India maintained their strong form and finished the league stage on a high note.
