A major development has taken place in Sri Lanka cricket as the entire board has stepped down. Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva, along with other officials, resigned from their positions following continuous poor performances by the national team and serious financial misconduct allegations.
The decision comes after increasing criticism over the team’s failures and concerns about financial management within the board. These issues have raised questions about the functioning and transparency of the cricket administration in the country.
Sri Lanka’s Sports Minister Sunil Kumar Gamage confirmed that the resignations have been accepted. As per the national sports code, the administration of cricket will now temporarily come under the control of the sports ministry until further arrangements are made.
