The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squads for the Ireland and England tours, along with the Asian Games 2026 selection updates. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the new Indian captain, while Tilak Varma will serve as vice captain for the England series. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has received his maiden international call up across multiple squads.
For the Ireland tour, India will be led by Shreyas Iyer and includes players such as Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The same core squad structure continues for the England T20I series with minor adjustments.
Notably, Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for both the England and Ireland series. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s selection across tours marks his first international opportunity for India, making him one of the youngest players to enter the senior setup. The squads reflect a mix of youth and experience as India prepares for a busy international calendar.
