CM Vijay Begins Administrative Reshuffle in Tamil Nadu!

C. Joseph Vijay has initiated key administrative changes within hours of assuming office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The new government has started reshuffling senior IAS officers as Vijay aims to build an efficient administrative team around him. Senior IAS officer Dr. P. Senthil Kumar, who previously served as Additional Chief Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary-I to the Chief Minister.

Another senior IAS officer, G. Lakshmi Priya, who served as Secretary of the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, has been appointed as Secretary-II to the Chief Minister. The swift appointments made by Vijay within hours of becoming Chief Minister have sparked widespread discussion in Tamil Nadu’s administrative circles. The Tamil Nadu government also clarified that the positions carry status and responsibilities equivalent to top cadre posts under the IAS Pay Rules, 2016.
