Key Update on ‘Mirzapur’ OTT Release

Much awaited Mirzapur The Movie has arrived in cinemas on September 4, bringing back popular actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu and several other familiar faces from the franchise. The film has been released in Hindi and Telugu and has received an A certificate from the CBFC. With its theatrical run underway, viewers are already curious about when and where the film will stream online.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the film is backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The cast also includes Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee and others. The story is expected to continue the franchise’s intense power struggle, featuring old rivalries, unresolved conflicts and new challenges.

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly secured the digital rights, but the makers and streaming platform have not announced an official OTT premiere date yet. Films often make their digital debut around six to eight weeks after their theatrical release. If Mirzapur The Movie follows a similar pattern, it could potentially stream on Prime Video around mid or late October.
