Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has personally clarified the misinformation being circulated regarding the alleged abolition of certain districts and the Singareni Medical Board. He categorically stated that the government has no proposal under consideration to abolish any existing districts or to create new ones. He also dismissed the claims about scrapping the Singareni Medical Board, calling them false and malicious propaganda. Addressing a public meeting held at Chelpoor village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district as part of the “People’s Governance – Path of Progress” programme, the Chief Minister provided clear explanations on district reorganisation and Singareni-related issues.
Referring to rumours about the possible abolition of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, the Chief Minister said, “I want to clearly inform the four crore people of Telangana that there is no intention to remove any district or create new districts. If at any point district reorganisation or rationalisation becomes necessary, it will be done transparently by informing the public, holding discussions in the Legislative Assembly, and considering suggestions from the opposition.” He further stated that despite conspiracies and misinformation campaigns, the people of Bhupalpally are aware and capable of identifying those spreading false narratives. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to taking the Bhupalpally region forward on the path of development.
The Chief Minister also strongly refuted the rumours surrounding the Singareni Medical Board. He pointed out that thousands of Singareni worker families live across the Singareni belt from Adilabad to Khammam. He condemned the false claims suggesting that the corporate medical board would be abolished and that hereditary jobs and employment opportunities would be lost. “I do not understand where such baseless ideas originate from. The government has absolutely no intention of abolishing the Singareni Medical Board. This government will always act in the interest of workers and will never take decisions that harm them. Singareni mine workers carried this government on their shoulders and played a crucial role in bringing it to power,” the Chief Minister said.
