

The Eastern Naval Command is making elaborate preparations for the prestigious International Fleet Review 2026, MILAN, and the IONS Conclave of Chiefs of Navies in Visakhapatnam. Naval officers, warships, and sailors from participating countries are arriving at the Visakhapatnam Naval Base to take part in the exercises and ceremonial events. The Eastern Naval Command has been extending a grand welcome to foreign delegates and naval vessels. The International Fleet Review 2026 is scheduled to commence from the 15th of this month. Naval contingents from the Maldives, Vietnam, Seychelles, and the Philippines have already reached the port city.
The Maldives National Defence Force personnel along with CGS Huravee, Seychelles Coast Guard Ship Zoroaster, and warships from Vietnam have been formally received by the Eastern Naval Command. Several more vessels from other participating nations arrived on Friday night. Naval sources stated that by Saturday evening, as many as 23 warships from different countries are expected to berth in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant international maritime gathering.
