

Telangana Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy has successfully completed the specialized executive education program, ‘Leadership for the 21st Century’, at Harvard Kennedy School in the United States to further enhance his administrative and leadership skills. The program saw participation from 62 distinguished leaders from diverse sectors across the globe. Its primary focus was to equip leaders with the ability to address contemporary public issues and develop effective leadership qualities. The training was not limited to classroom sessions but was conducted under extremely challenging conditions. Despite facing temperatures ranging from minus 15°C to minus 24°C in Boston, CM Revanth Reddy attended classes daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., actively participating in discussions and sharing his insights.

At the conclusion of the program, Harvard faculty awarded certificates to all participants. Photographs of CM Revanth Reddy receiving his certificate have gone viral on social media. His commitment to learning, even while holding the office of Chief Minister, has earned widespread appreciation. The program involved in-depth discussions on global governance practices, crisis management, and public policy formulation. The experience is expected to be particularly valuable for implementing modern technologies and governance practices in a developing state like Telangana. Now back in the state, it will be interesting to see how CM Revanth Reddy applies the leadership insights and global best practices he gained at Harvard to enhance governance and public service in Telangana.
