The School Education Department has issued strict guidelines to ensure accuracy in the evaluation of Class 10 answer sheets, warning of action against staff found negligent in mark entry, reverification, or recounting processes. Officials stated that any lapses during evaluation will be taken seriously to prevent injustice to students.
The department has decided to implement rules similar to those followed in Intermediate examinations for this year’s Class 10 evaluation, scheduled from April 4 to April 10. In response to errors reported in last year’s mark counting, new provisions include penalties for staff responsible for mistakes. Marks will be recorded digitally using tablets to minimize errors, and any irregularities identified will be reported to the Commissioner and Director. Notices will be issued to concerned staff seeking explanations before further action is taken.
