A major breakthrough has emerged in the child trafficking case in Vijayawada. To intensify the investigation, Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The SIT, functioning under the supervision of the Admin DCP, consists of five dedicated teams. So far, the police have arrested 12 accused in connection with the case. Authorities are now focusing on dismantling the entire trafficking network.
Special teams have been dispatched to Delhi, Mumbai, and the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to gather further evidence. Investigators are closely examining the accused persons’ bank accounts and financial transactions.
Additionally, mobile phones seized from the suspects have been sent to forensic laboratories to extract crucial digital evidence. Police officials stated that every angle related to the illegal trafficking of children is being thoroughly investigated.
