Relief for Drought Areas: 50 Extra Workdays Sanctioned in 37 Mandals

The Andhra Pradesh Rural Development Department has announced 50 additional workdays for families in 37 drought-affected mandals across the state. Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Government had declared 25 mandals in Sri Sathya Sai district, 9 in Annamayya district and 3 in Prakasam district as drought-hit areas.

Following the proposal sent to the Central Government, approval has been granted to provide 50 extra workdays for each family under the rural employment program. The department clarified that these additional workdays must be utilized by March 31.
