Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to release the Rythu Bharosa funds today, providing crucial investment assistance to farmers across the state. Under this scheme, the government has allocated ₹9,000 crore to extend aid covering 1.50 crore acres of land. The first installment, amounting to ₹3,590 crore, is being released today and will be credited directly into farmers' bank accounts starting Monday. Approximately 73 lakh farmers across the state are expected to benefit from this scheme.
During an event scheduled to take place in Narmeta, Siddipet district, the Chief Minister will not only release these funds but also inaugurate an oil palm processing plant. Constructed at a cost of ₹300 crore, this facility marks the third such plant in the state and is poised to benefit farmers across 18 districts in both North and South Telangana. Additionally, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of a refinery, a project estimated to cost ₹80 crore.
Furthermore, the government is likely to announce a new bonus policy aimed at encouraging crop diversification. The administration is planning to offer incentives for crops such as oilseeds, pulses, and maize, in addition to staple crops like paddy and cotton. These measures are reportedly being undertaken with the twin objectives of boosting farmers' incomes and making agriculture a more profitable enterprise.
