The weather department has issued a big alert for people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Rain is expected in several districts of both states starting today. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Department, Telangana may receive rainfall for the next six days. Rain is likely to continue until the 21st of this month in districts such as Nizamabad, Medak, Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Adilabad. Officials also said that the rainfall may help reduce the intensity of the current heat in the state.
In Andhra Pradesh, rain is also expected in a few districts due to the influence of a trough and winds coming from the southwest direction. The weather department warned that heavy rains with lightning may occur today in districts like Manyam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. At the same time, light rain is expected in some areas of Polavaram, Anakapalli, Alluri, East Godavari, West Godavari, Sri Sathya Sai, Nandyal, Anantapur, Kurnool, NTR, Guntur, Eluru, Krishna, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam and Konaseema districts. People have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
