The electricity department has announced that power supply will be temporarily halted in several parts of Greater Hyderabad on Thursday. Officials stated that the outages are necessary to complete repair works, line maintenance and tree-branch clearing in various sub-station limits.
According to Greenlands ADE Vamsi Krishna, power will be interrupted from 8 AM to 12 PM in areas under the 11 kV SRT Nagar, Banjara Nagar and Swaraj Nagar feeders. Supply will also be cut from 10 AM to 1 PM in localities connected to the 11 kV RBI feeder. Additionally, power will be unavailable from 2 PM to 5 PM in areas under the 11 kV Mahatma Nagar and Hindu feeders.
In the Allapur division, AE Rakesh Goud stated that planned tree-trimming work will lead to power cuts between 10:30 AM and 2 PM in JK Point Hotel surroundings, Rana Pratap Nagar, Radhakrishna Society, Thomas School area, Shivabasti, Kotturi Seethayya Nagar and Darga localities.
In KPHB Colony, AE Bhimalingappa announced that power will be stopped from 10 AM to 1 PM in areas including Ramdev Rao Hospital, Akar Asha Hospital, Shivananda Rehabilitation Centre, Big C Mobiles, Kalyan Jewellers and Vijetha Supermarket. Further outages from 2 PM to 5 PM will affect Moosapet Ward Office, Goodshed Road, Yadav Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, SP Nagar and JP Nagar.
In the Chikkadpally area, ADEs Nageshwar Rao and Vinod Kumar stated that power will be cut from 10 AM to 1 PM in Ramalayam, LN Nagar, Preventive Medicine, Anjaiah Bhavan, Bholakpur, Gosala, Eenadu and Gandhinagar. Later, from 2 PM to 5 PM, outages will impact Saibaba Temple area, Shankar Math, Narayanguda and Tallabasti.
