The Union government is taking significant steps to make parliamentary proceedings accessible in all languages. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced that a multi-language translation system will be implemented starting from the upcoming Parliament sessions.
He stated that Members of Parliament will be allowed to speak in their own mother tongues, ensuring greater inclusivity. Birla added that by 2027, all parliamentary proceedings will be available in every language.
He further said that the Digital Sansad App will soon host budget documents of all states on a single platform, enhancing transparency and accessibility. The Speaker also confirmed that the process to appoint a Deputy Speaker will be initiated shortly.
