Adequate Stock of Petrol and Diesel Available in the Country, Says Centre

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that petrol and diesel are available in sufficient quantities at petrol pumps across the country. Officials said there is no shortage of fuel and people do not need to worry.

However, authorities noticed an incident at a petrol outlet in Tamil Nadu where petrol was being taken in a loose container. The government warned consumers not to take or store petrol or any fuel in loose or unsafe containers, as it can create serious safety risks.

Action has already been taken against the petrol pump involved in the incident and it has been temporarily suspended. All petrol pumps and dealers have been instructed to strictly follow safety rules while dispensing fuel. The government also warned that strict action will be taken if any violations occur.
