Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have issued a public advisory urging citizens not to fly kites near metro stations and rail tracks, citing serious safety concerns. The metro administration stated that kite strings, especially those coated with manja, can come into contact with overhead electrical lines, leading to disruption of train services and posing a grave risk to human life. Such incidents may cause interruptions in metro operations and endanger commuters as well as the public.
Emphasising public safety, officials appealed to citizens to act responsibly and cooperate with metro regulations. They stressed that adherence to safety guidelines is essential to ensure smooth and secure metro operations. The Hyderabad Metro urged people to avoid activities near metro premises that could lead to accidents and to collectively contribute to a safe travel environment.
