The Andhra Pradesh government has made a key announcement regarding the sanction of new social security pensions in the state. Marking the completion of two years of the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP coalition government, the administration will begin approving new pensions from June 12. Eligible beneficiaries, including widows, senior citizens, differently-abled persons, handloom workers, and toddy tappers, will be covered under the initiative.
The government has also stated that eligible individuals who have not yet received pensions will soon be able to submit applications through an online portal. Minister Atchannaidu clarified that issues related to pensions discontinued during the previous government’s tenure would also be addressed. The initiative is expected to provide relief to thousands of eligible beneficiaries across the state.
