Rumours about the death of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spread widely on social media, claiming he was killed in Iranian attacks. The speculation grew stronger as he had not appeared in public for several days and stayed away from media interactions. Although the Israeli government denied the reports, the rumours continued to circulate online. To clarify the situation, Netanyahu released a video on Sunday in which he was seen calmly sitting in a café and drinking coffee while responding sarcastically to the rumours about his death.
In the video, Netanyahu confirmed that he is safe and continues to perform his duties for the country. He also showed both of his hands to the camera to prove that he has ten fingers, dismissing claims from a previously circulated clip that showed six fingers on one hand and was suspected to be generated using artificial intelligence. Following the release of his video, the rumours about his death largely subsided. Meanwhile, Iran warned that if Netanyahu remains alive, they would continue to pursue him, further highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
