The Maoist party is set to face yet another significant setback. After a series of encounters in the Dandakaranya region and the loss of several key leaders, morale within the Maoist ranks is reportedly at an all-time low. Now, another major development is unfolding in Telangana.
According to official information released this morning, 37 Maoists—including several top leaders—are scheduled to surrender this afternoon before Telangana DGP Shivadar Reddy. The surrender event will be held at 3 PM on the Tennis Court Grounds inside the DGP office premises.
This mass surrender is expected to be a major blow to Maoist operations in Telangana, further weakening their presence and influence across the region. Officials believe that intensified police action, combined with internal setbacks, is pushing more Maoist cadres to abandon the movement.
