All arrangements have been completed for the Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Maha Jatara in Telangana, renowned as the largest tribal festival in Asia. While the festival is set to officially begin tomorrow, lakhs of devotees are already flocking towards Medaram. This year, the government has taken the festival very seriously, undertaking the renovation of temples and infrastructure with an outlay of Rs. 251 crore. Officials estimate that approximately 3 crore devotees will attend.
To ensure that devotees face no difficulties, TGSRTC has arranged 4,000 special buses from all corners of the state. Simultaneously, a massive security arrangement has been put in place with 15,000 police personnel to maintain law and order. Measures have been taken to ensure that all departments, including medical, sanitation, drinking water, and traffic control, remain vigilant. Officials stated that the government has completed all arrangements to ensure that devotees can participate in the festival peacefully.
