Key Announcement on Baramati Plane Crash by Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu

Central Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu stated that the investigation into the Baramati accident is ongoing. Speaking to reporters during the Wings India 2026 event, he said, “The black box analysis is underway. Ensuring safe air travel is our top priority. This accident is extremely tragic, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.”

At the event, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Lucknow airports were recognized as top-performing airports in multiple categories. Air India won the award for Best Cargo Services. Civil Aviation Secretary Sameer Kumar Sinha finalized investment agreements with Boeing, Airbus, and Pawan Hans in the presence of Minister Naidu. A special attraction at Wings India 2026 is the pilot simulator set up at GMR Aviation Academy, demonstrating pilot training and aircraft engineering education for visitors.
