India’s ISRO and Japan are moving forward with detailed plans to jointly execute the Chandrayaan-5 mission. As part of this collaboration, a delegation led by Dr. Saku Suneta, Vice-Chair of Japan’s National Space Policy Committee, visited ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru a couple of days ago.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan. The meeting focused on mission planning, joint operational strategies, and technical cooperation required for the upcoming lunar mission.
The Japanese team later visited the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre and the ISRO Satellite Integration and Test Establishment (ISITE) in Bengaluru, where they reviewed the facilities and interacted with technical teams. ISRO stated on its website that the discussions highlighted the commitment of both nations to strengthen cooperation for the Chandrayaan-5 mission.
