The Telangana government has extended the summer holidays for Anganwadi centres across the state in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions. Officials have issued orders extending the vacation until June 15, citing the need to safeguard children, pregnant women, and Anganwadi staff from extreme temperatures. The move comes as several regions continue to experience intense summer heat.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure public health and safety during the ongoing hot weather conditions. Authorities stated that the situation will be reviewed after June 15, and a decision regarding the reopening of Anganwadi centres will be taken based on weather conditions. Parents and staff have welcomed the government's decision.
