Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forests and Environment Pawan Kalyan called upon citizens to actively participate in environmental conservation, stating that protecting the Earth and preserving greenery is a collective responsibility. Speaking at the World Environment Day celebrations held at Mulapadu Butterfly Park near Kondapalli in NTR district, he emphasized the need to plant and nurture at least one tree for future generations. During the event, he launched a massive initiative to produce 2.5 crore seed balls and encouraged people from all walks of life to join the campaign.
Pawan Kalyan also inaugurated the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, urging citizens to plant a sapling in the name of their mothers. As part of the programme, he planted a White Poniki sapling in memory of his mother, Anjana Devi. He stated that the government would carry out a large-scale seed ball distribution drive across the state during the monsoon season. The Deputy CM stressed that public participation is essential to build a greener, healthier, and climate-resilient Andhra Pradesh.
