Iran has made a key announcement about the Strait of Hormuz, bringing relief to the world. It confirmed that the waterway has been fully reopened and that oil tankers will be allowed to move freely without any restrictions. Iran also stated that the decision was taken after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon and the strait will remain open as long as the ceasefire continues.
With this announcement, shipping activities through the Strait of Hormuz are expected to continue normally. This route is very important for global oil supply and any disruption usually creates concern in international markets. Now, with tensions easing, the situation has become more stable.
Following Iran’s statement, crude oil prices dropped sharply in global markets. The ceasefire, reportedly supported by mediation efforts from Donald Trump, played a key role in reducing tensions. Talks involving Joseph Aoun and Mark Rubio also helped move the situation forward. After discussions, Israel agreed to the ceasefire, leading to a pause in the 10-day conflict and bringing temporary peace to the region.
