IndiGo has written to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) acknowledging receipt of the show cause notice issued on 6 December 2025 over its recent operational disruptions. In the letter dated 7 December 2025, Chief Operating Officer Isidre Porqueras Orea, designated as the accountable manager, notes that the airline was initially asked to respond within 24 hours. Citing the vast scale of IndiGo’s flight network and multiple factors behind the disruption, the airline has requested additional time to prepare a detailed reply. IndiGo has sought an extension at least until 6:00 PM on 8 December 2025, or any further period the regulator deems appropriate.
