The Telangana High Court has announced that it will deliver its verdict on January 22 in the ongoing dispute related to the conduct and evaluation of the Group-1 examinations.
Earlier, a single judge had set aside the final marks list and general rankings, citing lack of transparency and alleged irregularities, and directed re-evaluation of answer scripts or fresh examinations. Challenging this order, the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and several selected candidates filed appeals before the High Court.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice A. P. Kumar Singh and Justice G. M. Mohiuddin heard detailed arguments from all sides. Petitioners alleged procedural violations in notifications, hall ticket allocations, and evaluation methods, while TGPSC defended its process as transparent and rule-compliant.
After extensive hearings, the bench permitted submission of written arguments and reserved its verdict, which will be pronounced on January 22.
