

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed happiness over the overwhelming response to the Advanced Quantum Skilling Course. So far, nearly 50,000 candidates have registered to learn the course, the Chief Minister said in a post on the social media platform X. He reiterated the government’s vision of creating 1 lakh quantum professionals in the state.
The course is being jointly conducted by NPTEL under the guidance of IIT Madras and the IBM Research Centre. The Chief Minister said the huge participation reflects strong interest among youth in emerging technologies. He noted that the initiative aligns with the state’s goal of developing internationally competent quantum computing experts and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for quantum research, innovation, and long-term investment. CM Chandrababu Naidu also stated that he looks forward to personally felicitating candidates who secure gold and silver medals and expressed confidence that they would emerge as global leaders in the quantum domain.
