Cricketer Rinku Singh in Controversy

Team India’s young batting sensation Rinku Singh has found himself at the center of a controversy following the sharing of an AI-generated video on social media. What appeared to be a light-hearted post has now triggered widespread criticism, pushing the cricketer into an avoidable dispute.

The Karni Sena alleged that the video hurt Hindu sentiments and insulted Sanatana Dharma. The AI-generated clip showed Hindu deities Hanuman, Shiva, Vishnu, and Ganesha traveling in a Thar car, with Hanuman driving and the others seated behind, all depicted in a modern style wearing sunglasses, accompanied by an English background song. Rinku captioned the video, “Do you know who made you a cricketer?” Objecting to the portrayal, the outfit demanded an immediate apology from Rinku Singh and filed a police complaint, warning of large-scale protests if no action is taken.
