Kannada actress and former MP Divya Spandana (Ramya) sparked intense controversy with her recent comments. Following the Supreme Court’s suggestion that “street dogs, whose moods are unpredictable and may bite at any time, should be moved to shelter homes,” Ramya sarcastically posted on her Instagram story: “If we can’t read a dog’s mind, we also can’t read a man’s mind. We don’t know when he might commit rape or murder… should we then put all men in jail?”
While Ramya intended to question the Supreme Court’s reasoning, many netizens criticized her for comparing men to dogs. Others, however, noted that her comments were meant as a critique of the ruling and emphasized her stance as an animal lover opposing the relocation of street dogs.
