Chicken shop owners across Telangana have called for a shutdown on April 1. In Hyderabad, the bandh is being organized under the leadership of the Nacharam Chicken Shop Association. The decision comes as traders express concern over reduced profit margins given by poultry companies.
According to shop owners, earlier they received a margin of 1.8, but it has now been reduced to 1.5, causing financial difficulties. They say this drop is leading to losses and making it hard to sustain their businesses.
The association has urged all chicken shop owners to participate in the protest at Dharna Chowk and make the bandh successful. This protest aims to draw attention to their issues and demand better margins from poultry companies.
