Amid concerns over an LPG shortage, the Central government has stated that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the public does not face inconvenience. It said strict action is being implemented to prevent black marketing while ensuring uninterrupted supply. As part of these efforts, raids were conducted at around 6,000 locations across the country on the previous day, including inspections at nearly 1,000 locations in Telangana.
In view of the current situation, the Centre has advised citizens to consider alternative fuel options. It suggested opting for PNG connections as a substitute for LPG and if necessary, using kerosene or coal-based stoves. The government also clarified that Singareni Collieries has been directed to ensure adequate coal supply to the states.
