The state government has set a clear target to complete at least one lakh Indiramma houses within the current financial year, ensuring full transparency and zero tolerance for irregularities. To guarantee that benefits reach only eligible poor families, the government has introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI)–based verification, adopting a comprehensive 360-degree monitoring system. Each applicant’s Aadhaar number is being linked with multiple government databases before bills are released, eliminating political interference and field-level lapses. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, payments are being made on time, providing confidence to beneficiaries.
After the Congress came to power, 4.5 lakh houses—3,500 per constituency—were sanctioned across the state at a cost of ₹22,500 crore. Construction has begun on 2,48,770 houses so far, and the government aims to complete one lakh houses by March. As of now, 77,334 houses have reached basement level, 41,555 are up to wall level, 74,561 up to slab level, and 2,504 houses are fully completed. ₹3,853.66 crore has already been credited to beneficiaries under various construction stages. From April, the second phase of house allotment will begin, with AI filtering used to cancel ineligible applications. Meanwhile, the state is awaiting the Centre’s share of funds, with a crucial meeting scheduled in Delhi on the 16th of this month to resolve the issue.
