Director-turned-producer Venu Udugula, who tasted success with his maiden production Raju Weds Rambai, has announced a new film under his banner. The project will be directed by Madhukar Reddy Komireddy, with Sandhya Bhanu Challa joining as co-producer. The announcement was made on Tuesday, generating curiosity among film circles.
According to Venu Udugula, the film is inspired by real-life events and revolves around a conflict between two brothers that changed the fate of a village named Jammikunta in Telangana. He explained that the story explores why, despite either brother winning, the village ultimately lost. Drawing parallels with the unity of Rama and Lakshmana in the Ramayana and the rivalry of brothers in the Mahabharata, the film delves into emotional and social consequences. The casting process is currently underway.
