Actor Jagapathi Babu said that the film ‘Peddi’ is very close to his heart and that he gave his all for the project. He revealed that despite working on multiple films, he was eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Peddi’. He emphasized that even if a film is made with a ₹300 crore budget, the fate of the industry ultimately depends on the audience who buy tickets. Speaking about his role ‘Appalasuri’ after the release, he expressed disappointment over not receiving adequate recognition. He mentioned that a prominent director told him the role would have gained more attention if played by an actor from another language.
Jagapathi Babu also pointed out that actors from other languages often receive greater recognition in different industries, adding that he himself gets more appreciation in Kannada cinema. He said he even questioned director Buchi Babu about why his performance was not being discussed post-release. He remains confident that ‘Peddi’ will gain the appreciation it deserves. Addressing trolling against Janhvi Kapoor, he urged people not to target her personally, stating she only followed the director’s vision. The Ram Charan starrer has collected ₹236 crore within three days of its release.
