He noted that audiences consume comedy daily, making it harder for performers, especially stand-up comedians, to constantly entertain. He expressed deep respect for stand-up artists, saying that performing alone in front of cinema audiences and making them laugh is one of the toughest tasks.
Speaking about his personal journey, he shared that true stardom for him meant seeing pride in his father’s eyes, who always supported his films and even invited others, including his office driver, to watch them. After losing his father, his mother became his strongest support system and regularly watched his films. He also reflected on his 35-year-long career, admitting he initially entered cinema for money but later realized the need for variety in roles. This led him to films like Hera Pheri, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Pad Man, marking his shift towards diverse storytelling.
