BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has alleged a major scam in the ₹2,059.81 crore PM Ekta Mall project, accusing the Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government of diverting public land and funds to benefit a private developer. In a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, KTR claimed that the project involves 6.30 acres of prime public land in Raidurg and nearly ₹202 crore in central funds, yet disproportionately favors a private entity with nearly double the built-up area allocation compared to the government.
KTR further alleged that the tender conditions enable the transfer of a ₹200 crore interest-free SASCI loan to the private developer and demanded immediate cancellation of the tender. He called for an independent investigation into the alleged irregularities and urged the Centre to act on corruption complaints, including previous allegations related to AMRUT tenders and coal scams. He insisted that funds must be safeguarded and those responsible held accountable.
