King, starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a key role, is among the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy action thriller has been officially scheduled to release on December 24. Speculation had recently surfaced on social media that the film’s release date could be postponed. However, Shah Rukh Khan appears to have put those rumours to rest during an interaction with fans.
During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, a fan asked whether his son AbRam would watch Doomsday or King first. Shah Rukh replied that AbRam would watch the film featuring his father first, seemingly indicating that King will arrive as scheduled. The actor also revealed that he suffered injuries several times during the shoot, forcing the team to take breaks before resuming production. He said things are now back on track and praised director Siddharth Anand for his hard work. The film also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan and is reportedly being made on a budget of around ₹450 crore.
